I've been there myself, and I'm here to help.
Hi there! My name is Gabi (short for Gabriele). I'm a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who specializes in enhancing gut health, minimizing allergies, and promoting healthy aging with the most favourable nutrition.
My goal is to provide support so the body and the mind can work their magic, based on the belief that healing ultimately comes from within. I pride myself on my ultra-personal approach, guided by my belief that how you think and feel is directly affected by what you eat.
Having lived on every continent of the globe, I've had the privilege of experiencing a wide array of ingredients that are not only nutritional but also tasty and fun.
In Asia, I explored the benefits of a diet rich in vegetables, fruit, and fermented foods like kimchi and miso. Along the Mediterranean, I witnessed the incredible benefits of diets rich in luscious produce, whole grains, olive oil, and freshly caught seafood. In the depths of South America, ancient grains like quinoa and amaranth showed me the benefits of highly nutritious, protein-rich meals while the land's wealth of superfoods such as acai and maca taught me the power of incorporating antioxidant-rich ingredients into everyday meals.
In Africa, I was fascinated by the use of Indigenous grasses and grains such as sorghum and millet and their versatility of use across salads, snacks, and desserts alike. Finally, the culinary craftsmanship, tradition, and a deep appreciation for high-quality ingredients demonstrated through European cooking inspired me to maintain the freshness, comfort, and warmth that come from our favourite foods.
Today, I live in beautiful British Columbia with my husband and my chocolate brown Labradoodle, Maxx.
Overall, my nomadic upbringing offers me a unique perspective on the beauty of nutrient-rich ingredients and how to make them fun, bringing my clients back to the basics of eating real food based on seasonal and local ingredients that make your taste buds dance while incorporating a holistic approach to nutrition that also looks at lifestyle.
